“Bai Yuan Chu Dong” literally means an ape peeking around when it gets out from a cave. The Shantong Mantis family combines the concept with combat skills by incorporating the indefinite footsteps (simulating those of apes) into the routine. Together with the tight handskills, the routine was made compact with a good balance between power and softness.
